Poster Contest
The Genesee County Bar Association is sponsoring our Annual Law Day Coloring and Poster Contest, open to all 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students in Genesee County. A WINNER FROM EACH GRADE LEVEL WILL BE SELECTED AND WILL RECEIVE A $25.00 GIFT CERTIFICATE. Winning posters will be displayed at the Genesee County Bar Association's Annual Law Day Luncheon, at the Genesee County Circuit Courthouse, on our website at www.gcbalaw.org, in the June/July issue of our bimonthly magazine Bar Beat. Other submissions will be displayed at the Flint Public Library May 1st - 14th. Posters will not be returned. Additionally, EVERY student who submits an entry will receive a certificate of participation.
Teens & The Law
For the past six years the Genesee County Bar Association has recruited volunteer attorneys to discuss the law to area high school students through our "Teens & The Law" program. Topics include laws which are pertinent to their lifestyles and not usually covered in civics and government classes.
Senior Outreach
Volunteer attorneys speak to senior citizens throughout the county about estate planning,
durable power of attorney and many other important issues.
