August 14, 2013

Dear Members:

On Thursday, May 16, 2013, at a regularly scheduled board meeting the Board of Directors approved a proposed amendment to the mission statement to include a public component. This proposed amendment brings our mission statement in alignment with our community outreach efforts and will afford us an opportunity to enhance our visibility in the community. This will  prove beneficial to both the GCBA and its members.

I am convening a Special Meeting on Monday, September 16, 2013, 12:00 noon, at the Masonic Temple, in Flint, to approve the enclosed proposed mission statement. Immediately following this Special Meeting, the Monthly Membership Meeting will begin at approximately 12:02 p.m., featuring Genesee County Prosecutor David S. Leyton. Please plan to attend and cast your vote.

Sincerely,

Erwin F. Meiers, President
Genesee County Bar Association
