Virtual Admission Ceremony
Dear New Admittee, On behalf of the Genesee County Bar Association, congratulations on passing the State Bar Examination and your imminent admission to the practice of law. This year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the GCBA is offering certified bar passers the unique opportunity to participate in a virtual swearing-in ceremony. This virtual admission ceremony will take place on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at 3 p.m. and will be conducted via Zoom by the Hon. Mark W. Latchana. The ceremony will also be live-streamed to YouTube, for the viewing convenience of your family and loved ones. GCBA President Michael A. Tesner will sponsor all who seek admission during this virtual Admissions Ceremony. Registration is required to participate in this ceremony. Register by, Friday, May 28, 2021, to tyb@gcbalaw.org. Upon completion of your registration, a GCBA staff member will reach out with the other steps you must take to successfully register for this Admissions Ceremony. The GCBA has agreed to waive membership dues for newly admitted attorneys to the Bar for the next two years. In order to receive this benefit please complete our membership application at http://www.gcbalaw.org/member_join.cfm. We look forward to your membership. It is our hope that you will take advantage of the support and resources afforded by a Bar membership. Again, on behalf of the membership and from the staff of the Genesee County Bar Association, congratulations and best wishes.
