Teens & The Law
The GCBA Legal Aid Committee, in collaboration with the Law Day Committee, has a speakers bureau for high school students. Topics include laws which are pertinent to their lifestyles not usually covered in civics and government classes. If you are interested in our Teens & The Law program please click here.


Elementary School Coloring & Poster Contest Information
The Genesee County Bar Association is sponsoring our Annual Law Day Coloring and Poster Contest, open to all 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students in Genesee County. This year's theme is "Realizing the Dream: Equality for All."

A WINNER FROM EACH GRADE LEVEL WILL BE SELECTED AND WILL RECEIVE A $25.00 GIFT CERTIFICATE. Winning posters will be displayed at the Genesee County Bar Association's Annual Law Day Luncheon, on our website at www.gcbalaw.org, and in the March/April edition of our bimonthly magazine Bar Beat. Other submissions will be displayed at the Flint Public Library during the month of May. Posters will not be returned. Additionally, EVERY student who submits an entry will receive a certificate of participation.

Golden Apple Award
Award Criteria: The nominee is an outstanding educator in Genesee County who is recognized for the habit of offering professional guidance and advice to their students and fellow teachers and is recognized as a role model who volunteers for worthwhile community projects, including Law Day and related activities.

All nominees will be considered by the Genesee County Bar Association Law Day committee. The award recipient will be recognized at the Bar Association’s Annual Law Day Luncheon. The deadline to respond is March 1, 2013 by 5:00 p.m.
